Temporary Graduate Visa — Subclass 485

The Temporary Graduate visa allows eligible international students to live, work and study temporarily in Australia after completing qualifying Australian studies.

The appropriate stream depends on the qualification completed, occupation requirements, study history and the applicant’s circumstances.

Post-Vocational Education Work Stream

This stream is generally intended for eligible graduates with an associate degree, diploma or trade qualification connected to a relevant nominated occupation.

A suitable skills assessment or evidence relating to a skills assessment may be required.

Post-Higher Education Work Stream

This stream is generally intended for eligible graduates who have completed an Australian degree-level qualification or higher.

Second Post-Higher Education Work Stream

This stream may be available to certain Temporary Graduate visa holders who completed eligible study in a designated regional area and meet the applicable residence and other requirements.
