Skills Assessment

Skills Assessment Assistance

A skills assessment is an important requirement for many skilled and employer-sponsored visa pathways.

The appropriate assessing authority and assessment criteria depend on the nominated occupation, qualifications, employment history and the visa pathway being considered. Common assessing authorities include TRA (Trades Recognition Australia), VETASSESS, AITSL (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership), ACECQA (Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority), as well as other occupation-specific bodies depending on the nominated occupation.

We can also assess and guide your eligibility for the Job Ready Program (JRP) where applicable, particularly for TRA trade occupations.

A positive skills assessment does not automatically result in a visa invitation or visa grant. It is one component of the relevant migration pathway.
